Hi there
Im looking for a solution to the problems we are having updating and maintaining our site and want to know if there is a software package available that will work or do we need to hire a programmer.
Our site deals in construction equipment. We manually add or delete several pieces of equipment each week to static pages. We would like a simple application which allows us to upload pictures, input descriptions, and then publish that information to existing pages without having to pull each page, make changes, save, move on to the next.
Does such a program exist, or something similar, or is this something best left to a programmer?
Thank you for your help.

Hey everyone. I’m learning about web design and I’ve run into a problem that I can’t find a fix for. How do I make a dropdown menu from an image? I know how to make a basic white one but I want it to be my custom image. Here is what I mean:
www.oakofsweden.com
That’s my site. I want the "Products" button to be a dropdown menu. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I’m playing around with a new idea and I got most of it figured out, but I still need a bit of help.
What I am trying to do is have seperate images for navigation. When mouse rollover, the image for each link changes. I got that part working kindasorta.
The code for this looks like:
#contact {
float:right;
background-image:url(’../contact.jpg’);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
width:79px;
height:62px;
margin-right:-81px;
}
#contact:hover {
float:right;
background-image:url(’../contact2.jpg’);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
width:76px;
height:62px;
margin-right:-81px;
}
One problem I am having is that I have 6 links for this. When I click on a link, the links to the left of the one I click on do not return to the original image. If I click on the third link, the first 2 do not change back. If I click on the 6th one, the 5 to the left do not change.
Since I am obviously doing someting wrong here, maybe someone could tell me the best way to get these images to line up horizontally.
And finally, what I can’t quite figure out is how to get this all to work and when clicked on, goes to it’s corresponding page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Vance

I am hoping someone has an answer or has used what I need.
my site is:
www.ryanontheradio.com
…you will see every audio file I want to post has a small java script to play the file instantly in the player above. I want to know if there exists a flash version of this exact function? I would change the code for every audio file on the site if it functions the same way.
My Goal is really just to get that clunky player downsized. I want it to be a small strip player that only has stop, start and a line for the file name. BUT I think switching to a flash player would be better for what most users are capable of playing wihtout having o download the java installer.
Thanks so much in advance!

I need to create a website utilizing open source software to save on development costs. The main function of the site is a directory that will allow user reviews. In addition to the directory/reviews I want a user profile/social networking component to the site. I also want the ability to scale the site in the future by adding a forum, articles, blog, media content, etc.
I have found directory services such as PHP My Directory, JReviews for Joomla and various review scripts. I have also discovered a variety of Social Networking apps such as Ning.com, but I haven’t found one solution that satisfies all of my needs.
What is the best way to create a site that is 1 part social network, 1 part directory and 1 part reviews? If I use multiple scripts I’ll need them to tie in together so that the users have only one log-in to access their profile, reviews, forum, etc. This site is essentially going to mirror yelp.com in functionality. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

A start-up natural nutrition company needs someone to develop a reasonably priced web site. Looking for a html site with flash components. 2-3 bottled products would be the focus. Estimated 6 or 7 pages, one of which would be for simple, off-the-shelf on-line ordering capability.
Would need an estimate and terms, and samples of similar work you have done.
Thanks.
